Insects

In class today we were able to look at some amazing minibeasts!

When we are in Forest school we enjoy hunting for minibeast but they are so speedy we can't often look at them in detail. Today we could look at them closely! There was a scorpion, a millipede and a whole range of different types of beetle! There was even a giant locust! 

We compared the sizes of the different creatures, began to classify them into different groups, e.g. wings or no wings and looked at how many legs they had. 

Afterwards, some children explored our outdoor area and found minibeasts right outside our classroom...we only managed to find woodlice out there though!
