Educational Visits
Educational Visits, Outdoor and Adventurous Activities are an integral part of the children’s education at Melling St Wilfrid CE Primary School. They offer opportunities to enrich the curriculum, enabling the children to have first-hand experience of a wide range of topics and activities. On residential visits especially, there is opportunity to develop social skills alongside pupils from our cluster of schools.
Our Educational visits may include:
-
Walks around the village, including to the local church.
-
Full-day outdoor and adventurous activity days to Borwick Hall.
-
Day visits to places of historical, environmental and religious interest.
-
A residential visit for children in Year 5 and 6.
All educational visits and activities support and enrich the work we do in school. There are also a number of people who visit the school to support our work. We also have regular visits from our neighbourhood police officer and health and safety workers. These visits support the personal, social and health education of our children.
